This multipurpose science lab stool by National Public Seating is durably reinforced with a 7/8 inch thick, 18 gauge steel frame for long-term use. The stool stands at a fixed 24 inch height and provides generous seating room with a seat at 14 inches in diameter. The seat is further reinforced with an 11 1/2 inch Masonite board that recesses into the pan so that it will not crack. Heavy-duty stool foot rings are 5/8 inches in outside diameter and are professionally welded to each leg of the stool at four different contact points to promote rigidity during regular use. The fully adjustable backrest is 6" x 12" and can be adjusted forward, back, up, and down.
